Notre Histoire

The Ardèche is not only beautiful, it is also generous with no less than 7 wine-growing terroirs of character, two of which are among the most beautiful for Syrah on slopes so steep that one dares even to walk on them: Cornas and Saint Joseph. Few people know it, but part of the Condrieu appellation is also located in the Ardeche region, the preferred terroir for Viognier, a grape variety that is both complex and distinguished. The range of Ardèche flavors is completed by the appellations of Saint Péray, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Vivarais and of course the IGP Coteaux del’Ardèche of Mas Héritage.

Focusing on Syrah as the common thread, a hymn to the Ardeche region from North to South, François Tissot highlights this grape through Les 7 Pierres’ various wines. The common link among the soils? Without any doubt the « Pierres » (French for « stones »)!!! So abundant that one can reinforce their terraces with these numerous stones to make the work a little less difficult. The nod to history ? Again the 7, as the number attributed to the regional department !!! It would seem that it is the perfect number, the number of the Divine…

Why then be satisfied with only one name when we can have 7, all of excellence?

This is the birth of Les 7 Pierres, a winery whose vocation is to bring together and promote the diversity of the Ardèchois wine heritage, enriched by the experience acquired or passed on through vigneron encounters, particularly those with Philippe Cambie and Michel Tardieu.
